Create and destroy nodes in real time.

Horizontal cluster autoscaling in the Linode Kubernetes Engine (LKE) gives you the ability to create and destroy nodes in real time based on resource limits. Autoscaling makes managing node pools more efficient, resulting in highly available and stable applications. Read more here. We also expanded NVMe block storage to Newark, GPUs in Atlanta, and now offer Cloud Firewall in all 11 data centers.

Kubernetes provides several out-of-the-box features to help secure your clusters. This guide provides an overview of three Kubernetes features you can use to secure different components of a cluster: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Secrets, and Network Policies.
SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) provides a mechanism for transferring, accessing, and managing files more securely compared to earlier protocols. It is a free and open source utility that is available on all Linux systems. This guide provides some background information about SFTP and explains how to use it.

Updates
Easily manage your Kubernetes clusters on LKE with horizontal cluster autoscaling, supported on Linode’s dedicated, shared, or high memory instances. You can add or change the autoscaler limits using Cloud Manager or the API to help you scale resources up or down. Read more here or get started with the documentation.
Cloud Firewall gives you more control over who can reach your web application or data by filtering traffic at the Linode network level, essentially acting as an “allow” list to restrict traffic. This free service is available in all data centers and can add scalable security to your infrastructure in seconds. Enable Cloud Firewall now or read the documentation.
We recently added Linode GPU instances to the Atlanta data center. These instances feature the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 GPU cards and are ideal for workloads like machine learning, artificial intelligence, high-quality graphics rendering, video transcoding, and scientific computing. Read more about GPU instance specs, pricing, or contact our team here. You can also read the documentation.
